As you would expect from one of the worlds most famous cities there are literally dozens of attractions and activities to keep the traveller entertained. In fact it would take weeks to explore all the things on offer so a bit of research is always advised to prevent you from being swamped.

Sydney Harbour BridgeHarbour Bridge
Sydney Harbour Bridge is an iconic landmark and is well known all over the world. Built in 1932, the Harbour Bridge was the largest arch bridge in the world at the time of construction. The bridge still acts as one of the major transport routes in and out of the city, and provides stunning views of the Harbour. To really appreciate the views, head to the look out point, or for an extra cost climb the bridge with one of the organised tours.

 

 

Sydney Opera HouseOpera House
Construction on the Opera house was completed in 1973 when the design was questioned by many resident Australians. Today the Opera House is renowned by all who set eyes upon it, justifying architect Jorn Utzon’s design. The Opera House sits proudly on the point of circular key and attracts thousands of tourists a year. The structure also serves its purpose as an entertainment venue, and with 5 performance venues inside, it attracts famous performers from all over the world.  

Darling Harbour
Darling Harbour underwent a huge regeneration project in 1988, and with extra additions throughout the years has become one of the city’s ultimate tourist attractions. The boardwalks are lined with hotels, cinemas, bars, restaurants and park areas. Darling harbour also plays host to the wonderful Sydney aquarium, Maritime Museum and the Sydney casino. 

Sky Tower
The Sky Tower or ‘Centre Point’ as it is still sometimes known dominates the Sydney skyline standing at around 305 metres in height. It is not surprising that the views are awe inspiring and attract visitors all year round. Viewing from the top comes at a price, and visitors are propelled to the top in high speed lifts. The Sky Tower is also home to a revolving restaurant where you can enjoy the views over a great meal and a bottle of wine. 

Bondi Beach
This world famous beach attracts visitors all year round while the summer months feature hundreds of tanned bodies soaking up the sun. If spending lazy days on the sand isn’t your thing then hit the water and experience one of Australia's most famous city beach surf breaks.

Manly Ferry
The Manly to Sydney ferry takes you on a breath taking voyage from Manly right into the heart of circular key. For a few dollars the views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House are unbeatable.
